From the A19 Palermo–Catania highway, take the Caltanissetta exit, continue on the SS626 toward Gela, and follow the signs for Butera. The estate is located about 35 km from the highway exit, and the drive takes about 35–40 minutes.
Main distances:
The closest train station to the estates is Gela, served by Trenitalia with connections from Caltanissetta and the major cities of Sicily. From Gela, the estate can be reached by car or taxi in about 20 minutes (approximately 20 km).
Alternatively, you can travel to the Caltanissetta Centrale train station—which has direct service from Palermo and Catania—and continue by car or taxi to Butera (about 35 km, 35–40 min).
We recommend booking a rental car or a taxi in advance from your chosen station.
From Catania Fontanarossa, the Etna Trasporti service provides a direct connection to Butera (Piazza Sicilia) with about 5 weekly trips (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri), with a travel time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
For those coming from other cities in Sicily, you can travel to Caltanissetta or Gela using SAIS Autolinee services and then take a local taxi to Butera.
We always recommend checking the updated schedules on the carrier’s website before departure, as schedules may vary on holidays.
